“After I attended the Pulse Art Fair Brunch VIP Preview & Design Miami/ Press Preview, I took an inexpensive Uber Pool ride from South Beach to Little River. This ride was special because I was very excited about my manicure experience with Chicago based nail artist Spifster.
My appointment was set for 4:30PM. Upon arrival I was greeted by Ariella who is the manager. As always, we expressed out love for one anothers looks. Before I sat with Spifster, she was finishing the nail art on a blonde haired client. Then it was my turn to get “spiffed”. I got my nail inspiration from her instagram page. I pretty much wanted her signature lines on my nails in some way. During the manicure, we managed to play catch up and praise one another for working so hard over the months.
It was the beginning of Art Basel and in Miami you are bound to see anyone famous or popular. Well, the nail artist I normally use Gena was doing her amazing work on a client. The client wanted the artist Jen Stark inspired nails. If you don’t know Jen Stark you can see her work in Miami and on the 2015 VMA’s that the lovely Miley Cyrus hosted (insert Nicki Minaj “Miley What’s Good” meme here). Once Gena completed the work, the client came over to our area to show off her flawless manicure. Little did I know, the client was Jen Stark! Wow. Jen Stark got Jen Stark inspired nail art.
Anyway, Spif got me out of the session in time, for my Art on Paper/Miami Project Fair, with a beautiful mani and positive reinforcement. I was off to my next event with one of the freshest manis at Art Basel.
