#beauteintheBasel @ #ArtBaselMiami

Sure I titled the subject of over 500 emails I sent out (that I copied and pasted from the @blacchyna Instagram post comments) "#beauteintheBasel". This email was laced with information about me as a creative and my need/want to collaborate with anyone who has something dope to offer their city. Sure I only received 4 replies but my bitly link analytics went up! Why? It's simple, #Visibility. After putting myself out there through email, 500 of the opened email readers clicked to see who I was.

So in an effort to increase visibility in Miami (the city I'm currently unlocking) I needed to start my #beauteintheBasel campaign. What is Art Basel? Art Basel is an art week event that attracts thousands to Miami every year. In some ways this campaign is perfectly playing off of my "beautè in the street" tagline with Art Basel approaching. Anyway, I'm using Art Basel as a moment to increase my visibility in person & on the internet.

Am I an artist? Sure, I create things all the time and when I was in high school. My art teach Ms. Coco strongly encouraged us to not be afraid to create. She exposed her students in Baton Rouge, LA. to art from around the world. Thinking about her now, I am so grateful to have teachers who exposed us to culture and influenced to see the world. What do I want to do with my art? It's simple: create content around it, share it and video blog about my experience during #ArtBaselMiami.
